Gordie Theisen is a college baseball coach of 21 years.  He was the Head Coach of Siena Heights University for sixteen years and is currently the pitching coach at Adrian College.  Seven of Gordie’s former players at Siena Heights continued after college and played professional baseball; three of them were drafted.  He has two children.  His daughter Tess played high school and summer softball and is currently a student at Michigan State University.  Gordie has coached some of her softball teams in the past several summers.

  

Eric Theisen is currently in his second year as Asistant Baseball Coach at Siena Heights University.  In May of 2008 he graduated from Illinois State University where he also played baseball.  A graduate of Adrian High School, as a college player he has appeared in more games than any pitcher in Illinois State history, won 19 games in his four years there, was the 2008 team captain at ISU, 2008 second team all Missouri Valley Conference, 2005 honorable mention all Missouri Valley Conference, and was co-pitcher of the year in the Central Illinois Collegiate League in the summer of 2004.  Eric has also served as assistant coach for the Hudson American Legion team in 2007 and 2008.  After spending the summer of 2009 playing and coaching in Europe Eric has returned to Siena Heights University working with their pitching staff.

 

 Luke Harrigan is employed by Major League Baseball International.  Coach Harrigan started his coaching career at Franklin College (Ind.) before returning to his alma mater Adrian College to work with the catchers, infielders and hitters.  He also served as the recruiting coordinator and head JV coach while at AC.  As a player with the Bulldogs, Harrigan earned First Team All-MIAA honors in '04 and '05.  He was also the team captain and team MVP in '05.  Luke has spent the last few summers in Germany working with MLB International and is now back in Adrian serving on the Bulldogs coaching staff.

 

Xander Younce was the starting catcher for the Adrian College Bulldogs during their 2008 national title run and even delivered the game-winning RBI in the regional final on a sacrifice fly which sent Adrian to its first-ever nationals appearance.

Younce had a career batting average of .286 and played in 125 games. He recorded 97 hits in 339 at-bats and also tallied 14 doubles, three triples and three home runs at the plate. On defense he recorded 560 putouts, 79 assists and a fielding percentage of .988.
